In 2024, 61% of Russian companies were constantly hiring employees; in 2025, their share could grow to 76%, according to the HR holding Ventra, based on the results of a survey of employers.
What else did the survey show : one of the main business owner database problems in hiring that companies have been facing for years is staff turnover. In 2025, the problem may worsen - 47% of survey participants believe that staff turnover will be the main challenge for businesses this year. Companies plan to combat staff turnover with the help of:
increase in wages and compensation (76%);
investments in improving the qualifications of employees (46%);
creating opportunities for flexible hours or remote work (42%).
71% of employers consider the main focus of their HR work in 2025 to be the retention of key employees.
What other problems in hiring : in 2024, companies' expenses on finding and attracting new employees increased: in half of the cases by 15-30%, in 15% of cases by more than a third compared to the previous year. Businesses increased budgets for developing HR brands, conducting HR advertising campaigns and other methods of attracting personnel, but this did not always produce the desired results.
87% of companies participating in the survey said that there were more rejections from job seekers than last year. For a third of employers, the share of rejections increased by 10%.
