Esker customers in Spain saved 3,850 paper documents per day in 2011

On the occasion of the International Day of Biological Diversity, Esker, one of the world's leading companies in process automation solutions, reports that its clients in Spain participating in the GreenDoc program avoided the production of 3,850 paper documents a day in 2011, through the use of the company's different document management solutions. This reduction in the volume of paper in these companies would be equivalent to having avoided the felling of more than 80 trees, as well as saving 127,507 liters of water, 19,731 kilowatts and nearly 15 tons of CO2 emissions.


Esker's GreenDoc program recognizes companies brazil telegram users mobile phone number list that benefit from using the Esker DeliveryWare solution and its Quit Paper philosophy in their business processes, both to improve their efficiency and to reduce the impact of their activity on the environment. In total, nine companies are currently enrolled in the program in Spain: Agua Mineral San Benedetto, Anuntis Segundamano, Grupo Fromageries Bel, Capsa, Michael Page, Seur, Solvere Capital, Thomson Reuters Aranzadi and Uralita. These companies generate around 30% of the documents digitized by Esker Ibérica's clients.

In some cases, Esker customers' participation in the GreenDoc programme is part of ambitious corporate environmental sustainability projects. This is the case of the dairy company Capsa, which in three years has managed to reduce its use of paper and cardboard in containers and packaging by 50%, thereby avoiding the felling of some 39,000 trees per year and reducing its CO2 emissions by 10,500 tonnes.

Esker allocates part of its marketing budget to environmental reforestation projects. “We believe that there is significant room for improvement through the automation of business processes that depend on paper,” says Jesús Midón, general manager of Esker Ibérica, who adds that “organisations with Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives can achieve their goals by adopting our Quit Paper philosophy.
