If a baker asks 5 euros for 15 euros of sliced bread, then that is simply too much bread. The entrepreneur also determines the pick-up time that suits the organization. Some you can come by all day, but others have a period of 15 minutes in which it has to be picked up.
The entrepreneurs I spoke to are positive about the concept. The combination of preventing food waste combined with a little extra turnover is going well. Especially during the corona period, it was a godsend for cheese farmer Clara Maria . They were able to sell a lot of bags.

Other initiatives
But Too Good To Go is not the only platform or sweden telegram data initiative to combat food waste. Recently, there was an item on food waste in the Greenquest of BNR Nieuwsradio. Among other things, De Verspillingsfabriek and the Stichting Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling were discussed. Both initiatives are useful to realize as little waste as possible. The Future
At the moment, there are about 40 people working at Too Good To Go in the Netherlands. It is part of the Danish organization. There is still a lot of growth possible (for example by joining a large supermarket chain), but there is also food waste in other sectors. Farmers can of course join, but it is always as an additional channel. Take the potato farmer as an example, that is a typical product that is grown for the industry.
If the concept is going to be used more by consumers, then more entrepreneurs are needed. There is only a limited supply. Every economist will say that scarcity is good, but it also limits the growth opportunities. Now I don't expect that Too Good To Go would want to become a very large company by definition. They mainly think it is important that a movement against food waste is started.
