We have found a lot of keywords so far and feel confident in our research, but we want to analyze the competitors who are ranking for our main thematic keyword.

Here are the top five local organic results for "tankless water heater phoenix":

Four of these five websites are local competitors. The denmark whatsapp number fifth is an article about the pros and cons of condensing boilers.

Before you begin to look at the keywords these competitors rank for that may be relevant to our topic, take note of the search engine results page (SERP) features you encounter.

For this SERP we have:

Google Map Pack (not visible in the screenshot but is above the organic results)

FAQ Schema
This step is important and should not be skipped. We already had plans to add FAQ schema to our pages, but seeing it live on a SERP shows you how much “extra space” you can get on the SERP.

What are we missing?

Have you looked at the SERP on a mobile device? The mobile SERP looks pretty much the same, but one of our competitors has an additional SERP feature that we would like to add to our page as well.

That image displayed in the SERP for Goettl is not displayed on desktop, but does appear on mobile devices.

Makes the result a little more appealing than the others, doesn't it? Their result takes up almost my entire screen (iPhone 11 Pro) with their schema markup for the FAQ.
