You can set up retargeting for those who interacted with your ad in a certain way, i.e. by events - clicking on a button, filling out a form, watching a video, scrolling the screen, downloading a price list, time of visiting the site. You can also segment the audience by different actions and make a personalized ad for each.
The logic is as follows: using a pixel, you can collect events on your site that users have performed and then set up retargeting for each event.
To make all this work, you will need developers because you need to understand HTML code, JavaScript, and Google Tag Manager.
Step 1. Connect events on the site
First, create a retargeting pixel in the "Pixels" section. After that, connect events on the site. You need to connect the VKontakte JS API library and get a unique retargeting code. Technically, it looks like advantages of using our skype database this: a fragment of special code needs to be placed on the site. Code examples and a full algorithm for the developer can be found here (just give them the instructions, they will understand).
Step 2: Install the Pixel and Set Up Events
Once the code is installed on the site, go to "Pixels", select the desired one and click "Edit".
Editing
Each pixel can be edited, the collected audience can be viewed or deleted in the dialog box
A dialog box will open containing the code for inserting into the site and the pixel code.
Code for setting up events
Please note that we need the short code, not the long one, to collect events.
To make it easier and faster to install a pixel on a website, it is better to set the task for the developer according to the instructions , because you need to add an event in Latin inside all buttons, forms and pages. The logic is as follows: the user clicks the "Send" button, VKontakte sees with the help of the pixel that the event has occurred.
