It is well known that Facebook (now Meta) has invested billions of dollars in launching the famous metaverse . Mark Zuckerberg does not stop in his efforts to carry out a project that promises to revolutionize the technological market (and in fact, it is already doing so).
But despite the high expectations that have list of cyprus cell phone numbers been created around this concept, the metaverse has its lights and shadows. One of those shadows that hangs over this new universe and that the German magazine W&V mentions is that it has not attracted as many followers as previously thought .
According to the Wall Street Journal , Horizon Worlds, the virtual reality environment developed by Meta, currently has fewer than 200,000 monthly active users (Zuckerberg claims 280,000). The target for the end of the year is 500,000 users.
Also, many users do not return to the metaverse after the first month. This is also the case in other similar universes: the Decentraland platform and the The Sandbox metaverse project do not seem to be performing exceptionally well either.
