I launched my blog in 2013 with the ambition of presenting you with tips every week for communicating effectively on the Internet and social networks.

Although digital communication is a constantly changing activity, I admit that it is not always easy to find ideas to feed my blog .

As proof, this week, I spent a good hour before defining the theme that I was going to cover in this blog article. And finally, it was right before my eyes: how to find inspiration?

In order to get there and define a relevant blog article theme, I explored all the sources of inspiration that I know. Here they are!

8 sources of inspiration to feed your blog
Inspiration #1 Follow the trends with Buzzsumo
how to find blog post ideas

Buzzsumo is a platform that allows you to search for the articles that have portugal email list generated the most buzz around the topic that interests you.

For my part, I deal with the themes of social media and digital marketing. By entering these keywords on Buzzsumo, I will find the articles that have had the most success on these themes and will be able to define an article topic that will please my audience.

Inspiration #2 Find relevant keywords with Übersuggest

Übersuggest is a great tool to help you find relevant keywords to reach your targets via search engines. You can also use it to find inspiration for your blog.

Same principle as on Buzzsumo, you enter the theme that interests you and Übersuggest provides you with a list of keywords regularly entered on search engines around it.

Using Übersuggest you can be sure to write an article that will interest your audience.

Inspiration #3 Configure your monitoring with Feedly
Feedly is an RSS feed aggregator. In concrete terms, Feedly allows you to group and classify all your sources in a single interface in order to be informed in real time as soon as a new article is published.

What's not bad is that Feedly displays next to each article the number of views from the platform. So you can quickly identify which topics are popular and which are less popular!

Inspiration #4 Take a look at the competition
If you're lacking inspiration for your blog, so are your competitors. But with any luck, they won't be lacking inspiration at the same time as you! So go take a look at their blog and study the topics that your competitors have covered recently.

By analyzing the number of shares and comments, you will be able to define the articles that worked better than the others and you will undoubtedly find ideas for articles for your blog!

Inspiration #5 Subscribe to newsletters
We are here in the same spirit as the previous sources of inspiration. To find inspiration and continue to feed your blog effectively, I recommend that you subscribe to newsletters in your field of activity.

This way, you will regularly receive updates from the blogs you have subscribed to in your email box. This will allow you to easily identify trends and find ideas for articles for your blog without much effort.

Inspiration #6 Scan hashtags on Twitter
As you know, Twitter is the social network that its users choose to stay informed. As a result, users regularly share on Twitter the results of their monitoring and the articles that have caught their attention.

To do this, they use hashtags that allow them to connect their tweets to all social media users.

This is a great source of inspiration for your blog. For my part, by entering Inbound Marketing which is one of my favorite themes, I find all the articles that have been shared on Twitter with the hashtag #InboundMarketing.

Based on the number of retweets, shares and favorites, I am able to determine which articles are working best and therefore find relevant article ideas for my blog.

Inspiration #7 Conduct a survey on social networks
This is not about asking your fans and followers on social networks what topic your blog covers. Although that works naturally….

In fact, this is about asking your audience a key question that will allow you to then publish an article to explore the conclusions arising from the results in more depth.

For example, I recently ran a poll on Twitter asking my followers how they felt about how Twitter was changing. The goal of the poll was to reveal that Twitter users were increasingly valuing form over substance.

The results of this survey and the discussions that resulted from it with my subscribers allowed me to review my way of communicating on Twitter but also to identify a relevant article topic that I recently published: 12 good practices to follow to communicate better on Twitter

Inspiration #8 Open your eyes!
One of the qualities required to successfully write effective web content is attention. You must be attentive to what is happening around you.

The slightest remark from your customers, your colleagues, your thoughts, the problems you encounter are all sources of inspiration to feed your blog.

As proof, this is how I defined the theme of today's blog post!
