There are unavoidable but necessary procedures, such as paying your car registration fee. And if there is something that most of us want, it is to be able to do it easily and quickly, without taking up our time. That is why, in this blog we will tell you how to pay your vehicle registration fee online, on what date to pay and we will give you some tips for your vehicle inspection. We will explain it to you in 3 steps:
Step #1 Make sure you have all your documentation in order
The first thing you need to have ready is your previous registration, your current driver's license and your identity card. You can also check in the National Transit Agency (ANT) system that there are no fines to pay; if you have any, you must pay them before paying your registration. In addition, starting in 2025, the delivery of new vehicle plates is being implemented, so if your car requires a renewal, you must manage this procedure with the GAD of your locality.
Step #2 How to know how much I have to pay for tuition
Starting January 15, you can check your payment amount on the line database official SRI website or by entering your license plate number in the Banco Guayaquil App. There you can make the payment immediately, either by debiting your account or paying with your Banco Guayaquil credit card.
In addition, in Quito, since February 2025, vehicle registration has been easier, since vehicles that pass the Technical Vehicle Inspection (RTV) will be registered directly at inspection centers, without the need to complete the online procedure separately.
Step #3 Enter your App where you can pay your vehicle registration online

From your App, go to the Payments panel and add the Tuition service.
Choose the company: “Vehicle Registration”.
Enter your license plate number or, if it is a new vehicle, enter your CEP code. You will automatically see the amount you need to pay.
Choose your payment method: debit from your account or credit card.
