Artificial intelligence that understands emotions, digital twins of shoppers and automated salespeople will be the main trends in sales development in the next ten years, according to a new report . Gartner"Hype Cycle".

“What these three technologies have in common is their ability to predict and interpret customer behavior and meet their needs, as well as optimize and automate the sales process, so that salespeople can focus on developing strong relationships with customers,” explains Guy Wood, senior analyst at Gartner’s sales team.

Emotional AI

Using artificial intelligence and technology to analyze user emotions, emotional linkedin database AI converts human behavioral characteristics into data, allowing sales teams to better understand and approach customers.

“Emotional AI is already being used in contact centers, but sales teams have yet to fully realize the technology’s potential,” explains Guy Wood, senior sales analyst at Gartner. Gartner believes that digital twins will help companies make breakthroughs in customer experience, but creating and working with such models requires employees who are data-savvy and have knowledge of machine learning.

These are non-human agents who automate sales on behalf of human salespeople or businesses. This is an area that is currently growing, so the technology is used in simple transactions, Gartner notes.

“Companies that use automated salespeople will gain a competitive advantage by meeting customers’ desires forseamless shopping, and this guarantees a stable income,” Guy Wood emphasizes. He notes that the application of this technology will be uneven, because its success depends on the business sector, geography and business model.
