Native Teams in Croatia: How do they make it easier to take care of taxes, contributions and employment abroad?

Native Teams began conquering our region a little over three years ago, at the very beginning of the pandemic. They saw the shock of the “lockdown” as an incentive and an opportunity and bravely jumped on the then-started global trend of working from home and from anywhere other than the office. They were also helped by the fact that all companies hiring remote workers offered better earnings than the average monthly salary of people employed in the countries of Southeast Europe, especially in the Western Balkans, says Luka Jovanović , Marketing Manager.
This is how the idea was born of an affordable, fully localized financial car owner database service for freelancers and digital nomads of various categories, with expert people who are always at their disposal and who are able to give various useful advice, in every country where Native Teams operates.
Native Teams started from Macedonia and the United Kingdom in 2020 , from where it spread to all other countries of the region and about seventy other countries on all continents, where it has registered offices.
The company today has more than 200 employees and almost 100 thousand registered users, and collaborates with more than 500 international companies that use Native Teams services to pay and provide permanent employment to remote workers.
They built trust first.
However, this growth has not been without challenges.
The first obstacle was a "systemic" one - the countries of our region traditionally lag technologically behind the developed West, so they were also late with the digital transformation of business . Bridging that gap required considerable investment in informing and educating potential users.
The second obstacle was the proverbial suspicion of our people , especially towards a young team that started dealing with finances "yesterday", comments Luka.
It wasn't just a matter of trust, which is hard to gain in any business. We were unknown to people both as a brand and as a team, so it took us over a year to get to know the market, and a few more years to build the reputation we have today. Today, we are a relevant player and a completely reliable partner to our customers.
