What are Keyword Match Types?

Keyword Match Types are settings that control how broad or narrow our ad targets are based on the keywords we are targeting. These settings determine the relationship between the search phrases users enter and when our ads or content will appear. In general, there are four main types of Keyword Match Types used in Google Ads and SEO strategies:

1. Broad Match
Broad Match is the most inclusive type of Keyword Match phone number list Type. By using broad match, our ads can appear for users searching for variations of our keyword, synonyms, related searches, and other relevant variations. For example, if our keyword is “running shoes,” our ads may appear for searches like “buy running shoes,” “best shoes for running,” or “athletic shoes.”

– Advantages: Reaches wide reach, captures various keyword variations.

– Cons: May attract less qualified traffic as it covers a wide search range.

2. Broad Match Modifier (BMM)
Broad Match Modifier (BMM) provides more control than broad match but still provides flexibility in capturing keyword variations. Keywords are marked with a plus sign (+) in front of them. For example, +running +shoes will match your ad to searches containing both “shoes” and “running,” in any order, and any words in between.

– Advantages: More targeted than broad match, but still flexible.

– Cons: Can still cover a wide variety of keywords that may not be entirely relevant.
