AI-generated content is gaining momentum

According to a US survey by Semrush , part of the Think Big with AI: Transforming Small Business Content Marketing report , which surveyed 700 consumers, people prefer content generated by artificial intelligence over content created by real people. This is quite an interesting finding that was not expected.

Social media ads, social media posts, blog posts, and nurse database product descriptions were evaluated against each other. For each, AI-generated content and human-generated content were created. Respondents then decided which of the texts they liked more.

The results were as follows:

Social media advertising: AI – 70%, human – 30%
Social media contribution: AI – 65%, human – 35%
Blog post: AI – 54%, human – 46%
Product description: AI – 65%, human – 35%
To properly evaluate the results, it is necessary to state which respondents participated. The participants were 50.2% men, 49.5% women. 12% of respondents fell into the 18–24 age group, the largest group was 25–44 years old, i.e. 38%. 18% of respondents were aged 45–54 years old and 32% of respondents were at least 55 years old.

The human-written content was edited by multiple copywriters. The AI ​​was tasked with creating text with the same tone, length, outcome, and goal as the human-written content.
