In the previous part of the series Marketing of Engineering Companies, we showed four main myths in the industry.
Today we will continue with how to properly set up a marketing strategy for engineering and manufacturing companies.
What is and what is not marketing in engineering and manufacturing.

As long-time specialists, we have experience in marketing for companies such as Siemens, Autodesk or Inter-Informatics. We have worked for large manufacturing companies such as Techo or Kovonax for a long time. So how do we plan and manage marketing in the field of engineering and manufacturing?

Plan and calculate
Just as inventory levels, material logistics, or france telemarketing list distribution of finished products can (and in the case of large manufacturing companies must) be managed in just-in-time mode, marketing can - and even must - be planned perfectly.

The ideal time period is a year, or 12 months. The typical starting situation that we at Idealab experience when working for engineering companies can be summarized in the following sentences:

Image

- Make us new business cards. We made the old ones with Mr. Novák seven years ago, but he is no longer alive.
- We need to do something with the website, but nothing big, because no one goes to it.
- And then, as part of "that marketing", we would like to design some original Christmas gifts for our customers. We have been giving them the same wine for ten years, so you could also come up with something there.

Here we take a deep breath, smile and explain. This is not marketing !
This is 90s-level promotion. And we really can't help you with that.

We can help you if:
- you want to increase brand awareness
- attract new employees , because they are very, very hard to find on the job market today
- you want to compare yourself with European and global companies, not only in the quality of your products
- learn more about your target customer group - acquire new leads
in your specific market - maintain and deepen relationships with existing customers
