In this campaign, various influencers can be seen sharing photos of themselves wearing a white t-shirt with the word “pinche” crossed out and the phrase “orgullosamente Indio” in its place.
In this country, the word “Indian” is commonly used in a derogatory way, and it is made worse by adding the word “pinche” (which means low quality, low cost or very poor). Although this campaign was intended to be an anti-racist advertisement, many users on social media complained that the models on the shirts were only white and none of them represented Mexicans.

The beer brand's response to users' complaints was to publish a message where they assured that "We have always believed in United Mexico. We recognize diversity, regardless of skin color, we are all Mexican. Let us feel proud of our roots, and let our skin color not be used to discriminate, insult, or divide Mexico."
