Enciclopedia Catalana and Claranet bring Cloud Computing to the education sector

In 2010, under the Text-La Galera label, the Enciclopèdia Catalana Group launched the .eso project, an ambitious response to the eduCAT1x1 programme, promoted by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya . It is a collection of digital books for the different subjects of the four ESO courses offered in schools. Students and teachers, therefore, access the different materials via the Internet after paying a usage license.
In order to carry out the migration of its Hosting list of telegram users in australia infrastructure, Enciclopèdia Catalana needed a Managed Service Provider that would guarantee continuity in the service provided. Following a study of the requirements of Enciclopèdia Catalana, Claranet offered a Cloud Computing solution , which includes four ClaraCloud Servers , ClaraCloud Backup and ClaraCloud Firewall.
Since the implementation of the solution, the platform hosting the digital books of Enciclopèdia Catalana has shown 99.98% availability, guaranteeing the operation of the service, without interruptions, to more than 280,000 monthly visits from 72,000 unique users.
