Generation Z in Latin America
According to data from IADB , the Inter-American Development Bank dedicated to reducing poverty and inequality in the region, in Latin America and the Caribbean there are approximately 70 million people belonging to Generation Z who are old enough to work. 58% of these young people are unemployed, many of them because they are still studying.
More than 25 million young people in the region are working and earn half the salary of workers between 22 and 64 years of age.
Due to poverty, Latin America is a bit behind in the adoption of new technologies. Thus, less than 10% of households in this situation are connected to the Internet and, almost a third of these people do not even have smartphones .
For these same reasons and these numbers, countries in this region are so far from achieving good positions in the PISA tests , the Program for International Student Assessment. This shows that perhaps members of Gen Z in these areas are not as prepared as in others.
According to another study by the IADB , there is a worrying gap between what is taught in classes and the skills needed in the workplace to be considered productive.
For this reason, in countries such as Brazil, Argentina and Chile, nine out of ten people say they cannot find a job because they are not considered competitive enough.

As we mentioned, this generation has certain characteristics that make them have certain needs that must be met by business leaders to successfully manage these centennials. Here are some of them:
Coexistence Management
In a company, not only will people from Generation Z coexist, there will also be other generations that are not digital natives and you, as a leader, must learn to manage all of these people to achieve better results in the company.
Commitment and Delegation of Tasks
As you may have noticed, most people belonging to Generation Z were born into unstable environments and have therefore learned to be autonomous.
So if you want these people to commit to your company, you must offer them opportunities for growth and promotions so that, by delegating tasks to them, they can exploit their full potential.
