Add value and meaning to your work

Post by rosebaby865868 »

A topic that comes up quite often when discussing the field of neuroscience is dopamine . Dopamine is a neurotransmitter , meaning it is released by nerve cells to send signals to other nerve cells.

There are different pathways or channels for dopamine . And one of them plays an important role in the motivational component of reward-motivated behavior.

In 2012, a team of scientists from Vanderbilt conducted a study in which they analyzed the brain patterns of people whom they described as “go-getters,” since they were willing to work hard to get their reward, and the other group of people whom they called “slackers,” since they were not as motivated to work hard.

Quoting the study, “The team found that seekers had higher levels of dopamine in the part of the brain associated with reward and motivation. And slackers had higher levels of dopamine in the part of the brain associated with emotions and risks.

Nothing will motivate you to be enthusiastic if you don't really want the rewards that usa company email list come with the work. Link your performance, and that of your team, to something that contains value and meaning for you and for them. That way, the dopamine will quickly start to flow in the right direction.

4. Avoid multitasking
We all like to believe that marketing specialists are experts at multitasking, and we often condition our team to fulfill this same role.

Neuroscience professor Earl Miller from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) shared some interesting insights on multitasking. In short, the human brain is not designed to multitask.

Miller said, “People can’t multitask efficiently, and when people say they can, they’re just kidding themselves. The brain is very good at kidding itself.”

What we can do, however, is shift our focus from one thing to another with astonishing speed.

The way to be more productive is to focus all your attention on one task at a time. Give it everything you've got. Then, once you've completed that task, move on to the next one and give it your full attention.

When you are creating content for a blog or planning a Marketing Plan, close social media, minimize your email, put away your cell phone and focus completely on that task.

5. Take a deep breath

When you feel stressed or overwhelmed, take a deep breath. In a new study, researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine and their colleagues identified a handful of nerve cells in the brain stem that connect breathing to mood.
