Did you know that a boiler can account for up to 25% of your ceo email lists home's annual energy expenditure? Understanding how it works and the process to start it up is very easy. We summarize them for you so that you can start enjoying your heating:

1. Boiler connected and with the stopcock open
First, you need to check that the boiler is connected to the power supply and that the gas valve is open . If you don't have a new installation and the gas has already been used to have hot water, it is probably already open, but it never hurts to check. We recommend closing it when you know you are going to be away for a long time.

2.Boiler on and in “winter heating” mode
When you start the boiler you have to check that the boiler operation selector is in the “ winter heating ” position. If you have a mixed boiler, you can set different modes: hot water only, heating only or heating and hot water. The “winter heating” mode would be this last combination.

3. Check the boiler pressure
You will see that on the front there is a digital indicator that shows the pressure of the circuit. Check that it is between 1 and 1.5 bars with the boiler off and the circuit cold. If the pressure is less than one bar, you must operate the heating filling valve at the bottom. Do it slowly and counter-clockwise. When you see that the correct pressure has been reached, close the valve by turning it clockwise.

If the pressure is too high or if turning the valve does not increase, you may need to bleed the radiators, which consists of removing the air from the heating circuit.
