A creative child with leaves and acorns

Post by arzina566 »

A practical example: take a group of adults and a group of children to the forest. The group of children runs and flies from pillar to post. 9 times out of 10 you lose them. They play hide and seek, go looking for mushrooms, count the white dots, pick up chestnuts and leaves from the ground for the autumn table and stomp in the puddle with their wellies.

Adults talk to each other and – almost literally – go down the rabbit hole. Also good, because talking clears your head. But once home, 'real life' starts again. And after an annoying email from a customer, you've lost that relaxed feeling again.

Children, on the other hand, continue the trend at home and start crafting: chestnut figures, drying leaves, drawing what they have seen & making mushrooms from toilet rolls. From that one outing, that one hour of romping, they get inspiration and energy that they can live on for three more days. Of course you don't have to make chestnut figures yourself; duty calls, and that makes sense. But it's all about mindset. And if there's one thing you can learn from children, it's 'being amazed by the small things'.

This is how you ride the corona waves
The definition of creative thinking is not just coming up with beautiful designs, cool commercials or composing music. It is taking a different attitude than your current standard, and from that attitude finding a (new) solution to a problem.

Curious what my first Kaizen looked like? I germany telegram data wrote down words that came to mind for a minute, according to the Ray Bradbury method. The result:

Anchor – Harness – Wing – Glasses – Human – Reality – Instagram – Violin – Cat – Monday – Sun – Garden furniture – Rain – Regulations – CD – Vinyl – Road

Can I write a bestseller about this? Not yet. But who knows, it might be the start of something beautiful!

I am very curious how you experience this period, what it does to your creativity and inspiration and how you ensure that you retain it. Please let me know in the comments. And do you have additions for the longlist ? Then I would like to hear that too!
