What is the CNAE and why is it included in the articles of incorporation of companies?

What is the CNAE of the company? This is one of the questions that entrepreneurs have to face when they set up a company. But what is the CNAE? The CNAE is the abbreviation for the National Classification of Economic Activities of Spain and is used to classify and group the production units according to the activity they carry out for the purposes of compiling statistics.
Its origin lies in a Community Regulation that aims to ensure that companies, financial institutions, governments and all other economic agents in the single market have comparable and reliable statistical data .
Royal Decree 475/2007 of 13 April 2007 approved the National Classification of Economic Activities 2009 (CNAE-2009), which came into effect on 1 January 2009.
Article 3 determines the structure of the CNAE, which life insurance email list is composed of four classification levels: section, division, group and class , with identifying headings using an alphanumeric code of one, two, three and four digits, respectively.

One of the applications of the CNAE is to establish the rates that cover professional risks with Social Security , since the amount of the contribution will be calculated based on the CNAE in which the company is classified, so that an activity that entails a greater risk of professional accidents will be subject to a higher contribution.
