Considering that Excel can have up to 1 million rows, have you ever imagined doing a line-by-line analysis? It doesn't even make sense to think about it. That's why we have the pivot table to manage data in Excel quickly and efficiently.

Additionally, to further enhance your analysis, I will show you how to create clear and intuitive charts based on the analysis you have performed. In other words, in addition to the summary provided by pivot tables, you will also have a visual analysis of the data.

So, download the available material and come with me to learn how to use the pivot table to manage data in Excel.

Introducing the Database
In the material available for download, you will find the database that we will use throughout this class.

Introducing the Database
It contains fictitious information about a company's sales, containing more than 3 thousand lines with data about the date of sale, salesperson, region, product and the sales value.

This data is important for building our analyses and better understanding the company's sales. However, working with it this way would not be practical at all and would take up a lot of time.

This is considering this database, because Excel supports up to 1 million rows of data. Imagine dealing with even larger volumes. Doing this manually is totally inefficient and not advisable.

To optimize and make this analysis more efficient, saving time, we can use dynamic tables . With them, we can synthesize and summarize the information in our database in summary tables, which are much easier to work with and analyze.
