3. The evolution of conversational commerce
In 2017, we saw significant growth in “conversational commerce.” While in the past, a customer service number or email address was enough, today, companies offer to interact with their customers via chat, Whatsapp, or private message on Facebook. In 2018, we expect to see this develop further in a new form, that of “voice commerce” and the use of voice platforms and interfaces such as SIRI or Amazon Echo to make a purchase.
4. Pop-up stores
We also expect to see more and more pop-up stores opening. Since the costs of a physical store can be very high, retailers are looking for alternative solutions to still present their products. This has given rise to concept stores which offer good visibility to independent brands. Even renowned brands like Amazon are now using concept stores . This is an avenue to consider if you do not have your own store.
