Make language easier with the Christmas story board!

Post by sakib60 »

Only a few days left until Christmas! What if we took advantage of this opportunity to invent stories on the theme of Christmas?

This fun activity develops children's imagination and creativity. Moreover, children often tend, naturally, to invent stories when they play with their figurines , their toys... So here is a tool (to download for free) to help children mom data invent stories and structure their narrative: the Christmas-themed story board and its die!

The opportunity to develop many skills
With this story board, your child or students can become a screenwriter and develop their stories around the elements imposed by the die. The elements are all on the theme of Christmas. Enough to invent a story about the magic and wonder of Christmas! This imaginative game promotes mental growth by creating opportunities to try new ideas, new ways of thinking and solving problems.

This simple exercise can also be a great opportunity for learning and developing vocabulary . Your child will have to "find" the words to tell the story. He will also be able to experiment with new ways of expressing himself out loud. He will also play with his intonation, the volume of his voice and of course the use of descriptive language. You will be amazed to see your child freely experiment with using words in his own way, without the risk of embarrassment, if he does not use them correctly.

Rules of the game Print the table, make the story die and cut out all the cards!
The player starts by rolling the die.

He will do this 7 times in a row to:

Know the hero or heroine of the story
Indicate where the character lives
Introduce the encounter with the other character
Specify what they are looking for
Find out what they find instead
Find out who is keeping the found object
And finally, knowing their destination which will be the end of the story!
As the player rolls the die, he or she takes the corresponding card and places it face up. On the seventh card, when all the cards are placed in succession, the child then tells his or her story.
