A good benchmark to aim for is to have websites with a domain strength above 30 and pages with a page strength above 40 that link to your content and website.
Anchor text ratio
Anchor text is text that contains a link, like this one .
Anchor text
The ratio of exact keyword match anchor text to all your anchor text should be 4% or less. Above this percentage, you'll attract search engine penalties.
For example, if you have 1,000 backlinks to your website and your website's main keyword is "reputation overseas chinese database management lawyer," you want a maximum of only 40 of those 1,000 backlinks to have that exact keyword match in their anchor text.
Other anchor text should simply include your firm name, your name, your website URL, and other common phrases to avoid appearing spammy.
Link relevance
This powerful metric measures how closely relevant your links are. The rule here is simple: provide and attract links from relevant and authoritative sites .
To rank your pages for highly competitive keywords, 85% of your legal backlinks must come from authoritative, legally relevant websites.
Search engines treat top-level domains (TLDs) relevant to your location as more important than those from other locations. So, if your business is based in the UK, domains ending in .co.uk would be more useful to you than those ending in .co.za.
Don't get too excited about these six tactics I'm about to share and then ignore the age-old power of basic, legal backlinks. Always take care of the basics first.
